It is mankind's fascination with the
ancient past seen best.
The mere mention of her name, bring to your
mind the images of the Pharaohs and
Pyramids, and through it all flows and the
mysterious Nile river, giving life to the
desert and this ancient land.
EGYPT:
Is
everything you can dream of and more, it is
the land of the Pharaohs, Saladin's citadel,
St. Catherine Monastery and Moses mountain
where Moses is said to have received the ten
commandments.
Recreationally, there are thousands of
Kilometers of beaches on the Mediterranean
and the Red Sea, where the sun shines all
year round. Sail, Scuba dive off exotic
Coral Reefs, go deep sea fishing, windsurf
or simply laze on private sandy beaches and
deserted islands surrounded by crystal
water.
CAIRO:
Is a teeming vibrant Capital City that is
culturally and politically at the heart of
Egypt, it is one of the oldest cities on
earth where you can see the Egyptian Museum
(with all its treasures), the Pyramids, the
Sphinx, Mosques and Churches. It is a City
of fascination, with night life being that
of a large Metropolis: gambling casinos,
night-clubs, folkloric shows and
restaurants.
LUXOR:
Over 7000 tombs have been discovered on the
city's west bank, which is justifiably
recognized as a treasury of antiquities. The
valley of the Kings with the discovery of
King Tutankhamun's rich gold-laden Tomb, the
valley of the Queens, the Tombs of the
Nobels and Deir El Bahari, the Temple built
by Queen Hatshepsut, are just a few of the
highlights. On Luxor town's east bank there
are Luxor and Karnak temples with an
exquisitely designed museum.
ASWAN:
A picturesque town hugging the Nile. Sail in
a felucca to Kitchener Island with its
exotic botanical gardens, Elephantine
Island, the Agha Khan Mausoleum and the
monastery of St.Simons built ny Coptic monks
in the 6th century A.D. Also view the
Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple by motor
launch and the powerful High Dam on Lake
Nasser. A cruise through the Nile is one of
the world's most rewarding journeys between
Aswan and Luxor, Cairo and Aswan (or vise
versa). View ancient history and unchanged
customs. No visit to Egypt can really be
considered complete without at least a short
Cruise through the Nile.
ABU SIMBEL:
At the Temple of Abu Simbel stand the
colossal monuments built by King Ramses II
that are a testimonial to Pharaoh's
engineering ingenuity. Originally carved out
of sandstone cliffs, the temples were
threatened by the rising waters of lake
Nasser due to construction of the High Dam.
At Egyptian and Sudanese request, UNESCO
launched
a rescue operation, with the temples being
dismantled in huge blocks and moved to a
higher location by an international
consortium.
ALEXANDRIA:
Egypt main port and the bride of the
Mediterranean Sea. It is a wonderful
charming city, it has been built by
Alexander the Great 330 B.C., and it was the
summer resort for King Farouk and the Royal
Family
